Portrait of the Popstar as a Young Man

Andre Bell is a Toronto based singer songwriter.  Andre attended university in Victoria where I got to know and work with him.  If you have the opportunity to speak with him, ask him about how he strong-armed his way onto David Foster's stage and piano.  To say that this young man is going places would be understatement.  You can check his music here or search him out in iTunes.

We shot these series of images at the Olio Artists and Workers Cooperative Studio in Victoria.  Lighting was a softened beauty dish from a very high and steep angle from the subject.  I also bounced a strobe off the back wall behind and camera left for some fill under the eyes.
