Stream-side Ceremonies

We had come to the park to watch the chum salmon run.  We had no idea what we'd stumble upon.

Below are images of native drummers who accompanied Remembrance Day ceremonies at Goldstream Park.   The irrepressible rhythm and heart wrenching melodies conjured up images of Elijah Whiskeyjack and Xavier Bird from Joseph Boyden's novel, Three Day Road.
